When we think of traveling we think of vacations and relax. However, things are a bit different with long term traveling. All the constant planning, walking, (un)packing, and moving from hostel to hostel can get exhausting. That's why days like these are almost mandatory. Just sit by the pool, read a book, or listen to some music. Tomorrow will be a new day for exploring.

Busy day! Today I visited most of Ubud's highlights: 2 temples, 3 waterfalls, and the rice terraces. To celebrate the productive day, I had a 1h full body Balinese massage (for around $6!).

Monkeys are always fun to look at 🐒, and you'll see lots of them at the Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary. In the afternoon I practiced my haggling skills at the Ubud Street Market.

Today was a very long day. I woke up at 2am to hike for 2 hours to the top of Mount Batur for sunrise. Unfortunately it was quite cloudy, but once it cleared up the view was astonishing. In the evening I went to a traditional Balinese dance show, "Legong", which was definitely worth the money. I totally recommend doing it.

The next stop after Canggu is Ubud, a town made (even more) famous by the film "Eat, Pray, Love". Spiritual exploration, holistic massages, yoga retreats; you get the picture. Apart from that, Ubud is also full of Balinese culture, amazing outdoor activities, and or course, delicious food.

I left Singapore early today to go to the hipstery, paradisiac, and chaotic island of Bali, in Indonesia. Canggu, on the south coast of Bali, is known for surfing, yoga, and chill vibes. After some busy days in Singapore, I'm ready, to take things slow here.
